Kara Stewart (Sapony) is a Reading Specialist and Literacy Interventionist in the North Carolina Public Schools. She is also a 2014 Lee and Low New Voices Honor Winner, and is currently working on Sugar, Grease & Coffee, a middle grade, Native-themed speculative fiction novel.
